I have been writing from the soul since I was a young girl. I have journal upon journal in big stacks in my room. One day I decided that now is the time to start writing again. Writing does not come easily but writing from the soul comes naturally for me. Can you relate?
As a young child, I wrote everything backwards and I didn't learn the alphabet until I was ten. What stopped me from expressing myself, was the opinion of others. I chose to listen to the words of others instead of listening to me. This began my journey of soul writing.
My first writing started with Mary Jane. She's fun, outspoken and way too much for her family. I love all her adventure's , her strong spirit and her willingness to talk back. My kind of gal.
Here is one of her stories that I wrote especially for you.
Mary Jane Tell me about your father.
Well, there’s not much to tell really. I do love him but at times he’s very difficult to deal with I tell you. I mean I am difficult but he takes the cake. He can do no wrong in my moms eyes. He’s very tall, dark hair and handsome. He’s very wise but can be very difficult if he doesn’t get his own way.
Now Mom said it was love at first sight. She saw him one day, riding his horse up the road from where she lived. She said it was a quick courtship, as he wanted to get married right away. Maybe I got my personality from him, I don’t know as we don’t get along that well.
I have to say out of all my brothers and sisters I am the black sheep of the family. I am not one to listen to anyone, and to be honest I can be my own worst enemy. Can you relate? Imagine, me being in a large family where you cannot express yourself?
