Just like the #Moon, we hold two sides, a light side which is our(conscious) and our dark side which is our (subconscious). Our #shadowenergy is positive and negative energy. If you have suppressed a lot of emotions in our (subconscious), that's shadow energy.


How we suppress our emotions


This varies depending on your #beliefs (childhood), by the people we encounter, conflicts we experience and our environment. These lessons tend to stay with us and may affect how we act/react when we get older.


An example would be, a sibling kept telling you that you were ugly, dumb and you should not go out in public, so you suppressed the real you. From that point on, you always felt insecure, ugly around others because you adopted that belief that you were ugly and dumb. This belief is carried into adulthood.


What can you do to let go of these emotions


There are many ways to find out where your #emotions are coming from. Start writing down any emotions you have. Example: (You just got stood up and your emotions are running high) Jot down any emotions that you feel. Next, try to remember a time when this happened before. Write that down too. If you feel you need to stop and rest, that's ok. It takes time to let go of those emotions. #Shadowwork is very #healing.

  5. Find a photo of yourself, look at it closely and write those feelings down.

  3. I see myself with eyes of love

  4. I love being me

  5. I can change my thoughts

  6. I am #powerful

  7. I can change my story

  8. I see myself in a new light

  9. I choose to live the highest version of me

  10. I am enough

#shadowwork takes time, but in order to move forward in life, you have to let go of the past to move into the future.
